So far the new year has brought some welcome surprises...and some headaches. We went under contract for a home we have been watching for over a year and put ours on the market. Santa came this year in the form of a uniformed man in a propane truck. Mr. HVAC advised me that my furnace was a GAS furnace, despite my request for an ELECTRIC furnace when I built the cabin and I simply had run out of propane. It was an incredibly "duh" moment for a woman who has prided herself on knowing about these things. But I DO live in South Florida where furnaces are not in our vocabulary! We got up to our little cabin in the woods last night after our usual 10 1/2 hour drive...with the dogs and the cat (he didn't puke or jump out the car window this time!) only to find our main furnace was not working.
