I'm going home for the holidays. Home being my parents place. In 2 weeks, I'll be coming home... home to Hamilton. It's all relative.
I'm REALLY excited! I LOVE Christmas, it's definitely my favourite time of the year (my birthday being my second favourite, :D). Since both Pat and I are heading home this weekend (we're both from the same area and met in high school), we're doing our Christmas gift exchange tomorrow. Yay! I can't wait for him to open his gifts ~ one gift in particular is giving me gift-giving anxiety... I hope he likes it!
Right now, it's snowing and very windy. Back home, it would be a fairly normal winter storm, here... it's a HUGE storm. Schools were canceled before it even started snowing. But still, it isn't the best weather to be driving in. If it clears up by tomorrow, either my mom or my brother will drive down to pick us up (he's more likely to drive in some snow and needs to go to IKEA to get a gift). It's a 4-5 hour trip, so we're quite fortunate to have a ride. If the weather is nasty all weekend though, we'll take the train on Monday. I rather like taking the train (you should always be able to travel with a nice-enough washroom on-board), but it leaves from Toronto at 9AM (and there's only one train a day, except on Saturdays... when there's none). So it's an early morning... for me. :P
Soooooooo.... I'll be home for 2 weeks and won't be back in Hamilton until the 3rd or 4th of January. Which means I won't be around online much. Luckily, my parents just got high speed internet (it was dial-up before and virtually unusable) so I'll be able to steal my little brother's laptop on occasion. But not as often as I'd like.
So until we speak again, have a safe and happy holiday, and I wish you all the best in the new year!
